who feels hurt and separated

in a workplace
amidst emails and messages

Love
awaits
to be seen
felt and heard
touched, tasted
and imagined

Love
is here
open your senses
experience
love is here

It is a beautiful face
but not mine

I didn’t choose it
i didn’t create it

It came with life
another life cycle

If someone attacks the one I love
I feel concerned
and get them out of there

But
when do you get angry?
You must get angry sometimes.

I don’t
Anger is a state of mind
 I uproot from within.

I can’t believe
I will never get rid of
anger

you tried to soothe me
saying all the right things
but i couldn’t hear
you

i was within a vortex
which became narrower
and narrower
with no escape in view

you still had no
access
but knew one thing
it will pass

minutes later
my outlook was calmer
a smile cracked my face
my words were coherent

enough to
explain
the trigger that
caused it

let’s breathe
and relax
it was only a storm
and it passed

by me finding one piece
at a time, long after the event.

Every time I find a shard
i think of my hubby
and how fortunate I am.

i skip the green veggies
those i get at the Farmer’s Market

after hauling a giant jar of orange juice
i pull down two banana and strawberry kefirs
a greek style yogurt

and wheel the cart to the
veggie burger section

at the register, i smile
my hubby’s gonna be happy with my purchases

we share wisdom whenever we meet

this world is growing on me

beauty blooms everywhere

i thank Dhamma
for the wonderful day i’ve had

Looking back
