While staying at the Vipassana Center in Massachusetts, I deeply appreciated nature, particularly trees. During my breaks from meditating, I would go outside and observe the beautiful green canopy, often focusing on a single leaf and discovering an entire universe within it. I noticed the intricate leaf veins, small spider webs, and tiny creatures moving purposefully from one vein to another.
However, upon returning home, I pulled a muscle and could not move without experiencing back pain. Despite this setback, I can still envision the world outside my window and the little creatures living their lives within the universe of a single leaf. Thanks to my time at the Vipassana Center, I am in touch with the beauty of nature even while confined to my bedroom.
