My body
is a loan
from Dahma
to nurture
and care.
Just like I listen
to a dear, intimate friend
I listen to my body.
What it needs
and what it craves.
I give it what it needs,
water, nourishment.
I smile at its craving
to sleep longer
and say, “no,
It’s time to meditate.”
I feel the sensations
pulsating
changing
and smile.
Sensations surf up
to quiet the mind
add to my equanimity.
